Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre (AECC) have organised for a beautiful premium rated contemporary cruise ship, the Athena, to be berthed at the cruise liner quay at Peterhead harbour, just 45 minutes north by coach from the AECC, to provide accommodation from the 2nd to the 8th of September for exhibitors and visitors of OE.
The Athena was built as a trans-Atlantic liner and was totally refurbished in 2004. She is a classic Greek owned ship who currently cruises around the Mediterranean and the Norwegian Fjords. In 2005, the Athena was berthed in Shetland for the Island Games where she was successfully used to accommodate athletes and visitors from all over the world.
